Representatives of Bill Cosby has informed that Janice Dickinson has filed a law suit on Cosby following the denouncement of the sexual assault allegations. Janice Dickinson accused Cosby of raping her in 1982 and the suit states that Dickinson has been maltreated over Cosby’s denial of the accusation. She said that Cosby’s attorney denied that the comedian intoxicated and raped her in a hotel room in California more than 30 years ago.
Dickinson’s lawsuit pursues unclear and vague damages on defamation, false light and the intentional infliction of emotional distress claims.
The accusation first came into light in November 2014 where Janice Dickinson stated that she went to see Cosby in his home for a meeting relating to the part on The Cosby Show.
“I remember more specifically waking up and that … there was a lot of pain downstairs,” she told CNN in December last year. “There was semen all over me and my pajama bottoms were off and the top was opened. At that point, fight or flight, I Just packed up and got the hell out of there.”
The lawsuit specified that Janice Dickinson wanted Cosby to withdraw his renunciations, but the request was rejected. However, Cosby’s attorney Martin Singer replied to an email sent to him by calling Dickinson’s rape charges “false and outlandish”.
Dickinson described her rape allegations where she detailed that Bill Cosby gave her wine and a pill in the hotel room 30 years ago. She said she wanted to go public with her story in an autobiography in 2002, but she was stopped from doing so. Dickinson added that the prevention was done by the book’s publisher.
She said that she was scared when the incident took place in 1980 and she prevented herself from going to the police due to fear of reprisal by Cosby.
Adding to the list, Cosby currently is facing defamation claims from Linda Traitz, Tamara Green and Therese Serignese.
