Scientists discover missing California woman’s body in a National Forest in San Diego  Missing California woman’s body has been reportedly identified in a remote area of the Cleveland National Forest on Tuesday.

The remains of Erica Alonso, 27, have been discovered on Monday night by Caltrans biologists, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department officials. The autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday for determining the cause of death.

The father of the deceased, Isaac Alonso firmly believes that his beloved daughter has been killed by someone. “Whoever did it, I want them to pay,” he told the Orange County Register. “I want justice.”

On February 15th Alonso has disappeared when she went out with her boyfriend of Valentine’s Day and they befriended another couple at a lounge in Costa Mesa. They were reported leaving with the couple at 1:30 am and had gone to the boyfriend’s home in Irvine. At around 3:45 am, Alonso left the place after an argument, according to a sheriff’s spokesman.

Alonso’s family filed a missing report two days after she failed to show up at her work.

The next few months, friends and family started an online funding account for raising money for the search of Alonso. Her family has offered a reward of $5,000 for any information which would help finding her.

On March 25th Alonso’s car had been found by the Sheriff’s deputies in Aliso Veijo.

On Monday night, 27th of April, when a group of biologists were walking through the forest, they found a body about a mile outside the U.S. Forest Service San Juan Fire Station close to the Ortega Highway at around 10:30 p.m.

The preliminary identification is pending fingerprints and dental records from the autopsy scheduled on Wednesday.

The father, Isaac Alonso said on Tuesday night that he is confident that the person who is guilty for his daughter’s death will be caught.
