Police have reported that a woman from California has been arrested on Wednesday for conspiring to kidnap two babies, with one of them found dead in a dumpster, and further attacking their mothers in a peculiar way for fooling her boyfriend into believing that she has given birth to their twins.
Held without bail on charges of murder, kidnapping, attempted murder and conspiracy, Giseleangelique Rene D’Milian, 47, had been arrested in Corona, California.
Long Beach Police Chief Robert Luna said at a news conference that “We’ve never seen anything like this where somebody goes out looking for babies to kidnap and they attempt to kill the mothers. These people are just evil in nature.”
The police reported that 3 other people have also been arrested including D’Milian’s real daughter.
D’Milian had lied to her married boyfriend saying she has birthed his twin children in December when he was overseas. She then later conspired with a man who has been identified as Anthony Ray McCall, 29, for kidnapping children who would match their implied age, reports police.
Police said that D’Milian and McCall had driven in two different vehicles and followed a bus transporting 3-week-old baby Eliza Delacruz and her mother in Long Beach, on Jan 3.
McCall later forced in the residence of Delacruz, shooting 3 adults, with D’Milian kidnapping the baby. The baby’s dead body had been found dead the following day, 100 miles south of Imperial Beach. The reason why the baby had been killed still remains unknown to the police.
The cases had been linked by detectives with a case in El Segundo, where a woman of 23, was brutally beaten with a baseball bat in a hotel room on Feb 6. The victim’s son of only 4 months was also inside the room, although he remained unharmed, according to police reports.
Police stated that McCall had been identified as the attackers, while D’Milian knew the victim from earlier and had also known about the victim having a child.
Charisse Nicole Shelton, 29, D’Milian’s daughter had been arrested on charges of being an accessory alongside, Todd Damon Boudreaux.
They have been scheduled to be prosecuted on Friday, although it is not sure if they have appointed attorney’s to fight this case.
