The U.S. premiere of the 5th season of the T.V. Series “Game of Thrones” will be taking place at a splendid palace-like building in San Francisco. The building is so lavish and splendid that it perfectly matches to the theme of the show of the mythical kingdom.
San Fran, the city by the bay, famous for being a technological hub, therefore HBO is planning on giving its fans a technological treat by providing them access to the red carpet event on Monday by streaming it live on the “Game of Thrones” Facebook page.
The stars of the popular series’ will be attending the event; at least most of them will, at the War Memorial Opera House, located on the western side of the Van Ness Avenue. They will be answering the fan questions which have been submitted by the fans through Facebook. HBO has said that the Facebook viewers will also have the opportunity of seeing the behind the scenes video features scenes from the latest season.
The visual premiere will also be available on Instagram.
Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau are scheduled to attend the event.
The series has been based on the best-selling book series by George R.R. Martin and is set in the continent of Westeros, where there is a never ending war on who will take the throne. Westeros is a place where the summer and winter can last for years and years. This classic fantasy tells the story of warring kingdoms, breathtaking landscapes, sex without boundaries, endless manipulation, decapitations of powerful people in the blink of an eye, murder and fire-breathing dragons to name a few.
More than 300 questions have been posted on the Facebook page already. Michael McElhatton, playing Roose Bolton has promised to “shock” for the fans at the World Premier which was held at the Tower of London castle in England, but his peers and he did not reveal too many plot details as they wanted to keep the mystery on.
Season 5 will be premiering on April 12th on HBO and also on HBO Now, the streaming service of the network, which will be launching that day on Apple TV.
