According to the latest updates by the Russian space agency, International Space Station was caused to shift its position inside the orbit due to a glitch. Russian Space agency further claimed that the incident took place this Tuesday but the crew remained safe.
Further updates have revealed that revised launch schedule that was released this Tuesday mentioned that as a result of the temporary hurdle in the launches caused due to unsuccessful resupply mission, Federal space agency of Roscosmos was forced to push various space missions back to the international space station.
Stating the further details about the glitch, Roscosmos explained that the engines of the space craft known by the name of Soyuz suddenly started. This unexpected incident took place during the test trial of the radio system; the radio system was used for the control of the docking procedure.
Recently, the safety measures were taken that ensured the stability of the station. Now, the specialists are trying to determine the reasons behind the accidental activation of the engines.
According to the recent updates, currently there are two Soyuz spacecrafts docked at the space station. One of those Soyuz spacecrafts is scheduled to bring three out of six crew members back to the earth during this week. Roscosmos didn’t provide any particular identification regarding the capsule that had faced this malfunction. But they have planned to follow the landing procedure as mentioned in the schedule.
The commission has approved and released a new launching schedule for the year of 2015. The schedule has specified that the very first launch of ISS is to be held on the 3rd of this July. The changed schedule has delayed almost all of the ISS Launches to be held this year.
Russian Space Agency provided further details on its failure of spacecraft due to which its space station crew was delayed from the launch scheduled to take place on the 26th of this May. According to the details, the launch of this new crew was going to take place from a place in Kazakhstan called Baikonur Cosmodrome but an unidentified source reported that this launch has been delayed to July 24.
