There is no denying the fact that John Cena is the man as far as the WWE is concerned. He has carried the company on his shoulders for so many years and even now, when the company is desperately trying to find new talent to carry the show forward, it’s Cena who pays the bills. Cena is undoubtedly the biggest star the WWE has produced since 2000 and the big question doing rounds nowadays is what the WWE is going to do with Cena once they find someone to replace him.
During a podcast by Chris Jericho, Cena was asked if he would ever consider becoming a heel and he didn’t dismiss the idea. The only problem he had was the work that he does for children and the Make-A-Wish foundation. Until there is someone who can do that work for him, he will not turn heel.
He has other interests outside the ring as well. The WWE is trying to start a reality show with the Bella Twins, Daniel Bryan and John Cena. Even though E! wasn’t interested in this spin-off, Cena has made it perfectly clear that he was looking to do a reality show based on him.
Cena has quite a happening life away from the WWE as well nowadays because of his television and movie career. He will definitely be able to draw attention to any show even if the WWE tag isn’t attached to it. The only problem is that the WWE doesn’t want him to take any offers they aren’t a part of. It’s in his contract and Cena is not the kind of person to just forget everyone and leave. But what happens when his deal runs out? He doesn’t have any obligations to sign a new one. He could move on to other things after and the WWE will have no say in the matter. So if the WWE want to retain him, they will have to reach a consensus of some sort and they will have to do it soon.
