Students taking the SAT test on June 6th in the United States went bananas when they came across an error in the instructions of their paper. The students became all chaotic in the classrooms about how much time they had left for completing one section of their test paper.
Students and parents became hysterical and got in touch with the College Board, which owns the SAT, for getting the accurate guidelines and then later started to post about the error all over social media.
The invigilators had been unaware of the circumstances as they had received the proper guidelines and only came to understand that the students didn’t have the correct information after they instructed the students that their time for a section was almost up which made the students object to them.
The manual scripts and booklets that had been provided to the Test Centre Supervisors had the proper time allotted for the sections, whereas the time that had been allotted to the text books of the students had been incorrect. The student test books had the time “25 minutes” in it whereas the manual and the script which the invigilators had contained the accurate time limit of “20 minutes” and in the SAT each minute have immense value, so naturally the students will flip out.
The College Board’s test administration and security provider for the SAT known as The Educational Testing Service (ETS) has informed the College Board concerning the error in printing and the team started working right away for providing the correct guidelines. The College Board is currently working it out to make certain of the fairness of the test as well as the validity of the scores for each and every student who took the test.
