Dean Ambrose might not have had a good King of the Ring, being knocked out via disqualification when Dolph Ziggler attacked his opponent Sheamus but on Thursday night Smackdown, he had an opportunity to make up for this loss by taking on Seth Rollins in the main event.
These former members of shield renewed their rivalry just for one night but that is not the only thing that got fans going in Moline, Illinois on Tuesday when the WWE was taping the latest edition of Smackdown.
It was revealed that the WWE Tag Team Championships are going to be on the line on Smackdown and everyone was excited to see whether the New Day would be able to retain their titles against the former titleholders Cesaro and Tyson Kidd.
The show kicked off with Roman Reigns in the center of the ring. He was then surprised by Kane and a match was booked between the two powerhouses. But Kane just walked out of the match and Reigns was given victory via count out.
Damien Sandow then wrestled against Curtis Axel and picked up an impressive victory. Ryback managed a win against Luke Harper as well but was attacked by Bray Wyatt who hit his trademark finished, Sister Abigail on the wrestler. Kidd and Cesaro managed to pick up the victory against the New Day albeit via disqualification since Xavier Woods interfered when things were getting tough. Nikki Bella also picked up a win against Cameron.
The main event really was one to watch with Rollins and Ambrose giving it their all although Rollins did pick up the victory eventually. That was a safe bet considering the show was shot in Rollins hometown of Moline.
All in all, it was a great show with a few good matches. The only thing that I may not have liked is how the WWE is continuously misusing the talents of Luke Harper. He is one athlete that has it all, why don’t they take advantage of it.
