Fallon seemed to be in a cheerful mood as he twitted with his only ‘functional’ hand reassuring fans of his recovery.

He tweeted to inform his followers that the hospital might have given him something to make him go the ‘happy land’.”#drugged #blessedI’m doing well and thanks for good wishes everyone.”

Fallon was admitted in a NYC hospital on Friday morning after he had hurt one of his hands which required a minor surgery. Even though the injury was not serious, the doctors wanted to avoid any risk and caused the Friday night’s edition to be postponed.

The show made an official announcement on Twitter informing fans that the show had to be cancelled.

“Hey guys - unfortunately tonight’s taping has been cancelled due to Jimmy injuring his hand. He’s totally fine but we’ll be airing a repeat. If you had tickets to tonight’s show, we’ll be in contact with you to reschedule your tix.”

The show was supposed to have Benicio Del Toro, Taylor Kitsch and Penn & Teller as guests on Friday. The network has decided to air a rerun instead.

On Thursday, the 40-year old fun-loving T.V show host was dining at Scalinatella, where he posed for pictures with his loyal fans. The show announced that the injury to Fallon’s hand was ‘’totally unrelated to the festive dinner” and it occurred several hours later, in the following morning.
