The 4 kids of a woman who had been killed at the time when an ice cave collapsed in the state of Washington has suffered yet another unbearable tragedy. That same week their father has been shot and killed in Southern California.

The children are two girls, who are 14 and 12 and two boys 8 and 1 and they have been vacationing with their mother and others in July 6 when the accident took place at the Big Four Ice Caves.

According to authorities, Anna L. Santana, 34 of Moreno Valley, California, has died of injuries when rock and ice fell on her at the ice caves.

Only 6 days from that horrific incident, the children lost their father, Martinez Cardona, 35, of Redlands, who had been shot outside a San Bernardino bar on Sunday night after getting in the middle of an argument. No other details have been given out on the matter.

It was stated by a relative that Cardona had been trying to get his kids in Washington in the days before he died.

Brian Keith, Cardona’s brother-in-law said, “This is just a complete tragedy and we’re focusing on the children. That’s what’s important, the children.”

A source said that Santana and Cardona were not involved with one another at the time of their deaths.

In the Ice Cave tragedy, there were 5 people who had been injured and amongst them had been Santana’s oldest child; the 14-year-old girl suffered an ankle injury and Santana’s brother David, who had a head injury.
