NASA makes bold statement: Nobody can go to Mars without our help!

Even if you have not aspired to be an astronaut, you can’t say you have not given it a thought of how it would be like to visit another planet or two, experience how the world outside the world is like. Well as of now, mission to Mars is not actually outside the reach of an ordinary person.

Our generation will be the first one in the history of mankind to experience interplanetary space travel and NASA would like to remind us that no one can actually do so without their assistance.

This is a significant matter as NASA faces serious competition, not only from the European Space Agency, but from agencies of Asia as well as the privately owned Elon Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX).

Well, it is unimportant how many new agencies or private companies surfaces up! NASA chooses to be firm on its statement that they are needed for you to reach up for a Mars mission.

In a meeting particularly designed for focusing on Science, Space and Technology which took on Thursday at a U.S. House Committee, NASA’S Charles Bolden said, “Mars is the planet that is most like Earth. No commercial company without the support of NASA and government is going to get to Mars.”

Such a bold saying by Bolden has been supported with his emphasis on NASA’s position in the lead of space exploration over the last half a century or so.

What we know so far about life of Mars is that it is still far too unreceptive an environment for humans. Prolonged study will obviously help to understand how to best use it for meeting our needs.

Nonetheless, NASA will not slow down when it comes to reminding that no one can do so if they don’t help. Well they do have a point, their test facilities makes it much easier to get answers that other private companies have been unable to attain.
