Zurie Lander will be expected to carry out his responsibilities at GoPro, where he is the Senior Vice President of media and in charge of development of the organization’s core strategy around all the unique content created by its users.

The President of GoPro was also passionate about this opportunity for Lurie, as he believes that this will be a terrific opportunity to demonstrate their love and respect for SurveyMonkey and the legacy of David Goldberg which will live on.

Even though, Lurie was a very close family friend of Dave, he believes that he can carry out his new responsibilities in the required professional manner and diligence without getting emotionally vested into this job. Lurie has tremendous respect for David and believes that he was a visionary leader.

“Dave was a strong leader who assembled an extraordinary team that is committed to fully realizing the company’s mission to help people around the world make better decisions with data,” commented Lurie.

Goldberg, 47, who was vacationing with his family in Mexico suddenly passed away. His wife, Sheryl Sandberg, is the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook. David has two small children.

Although David’s loss cannot be made up, SurveyMonkey will try its level best to continue in the direction the ex-CEO was on.
