Media has reported that on Wednesday, a Navy Seal has died during parachute training in Perris. It has been confirmed from not one, but two anonymous sources that the individual was a member of the elite Navy group.
It was also reported that the parachute malfunctioned during training and caused the accident and unfortunately a life was the price to be paid for it.
The navy sailor, who had been assigned to a West Coast Naval Special Warfare unit, died from the injuries persisted during parachute training, as per the statement from the Coronado-based Naval Special Warfare Group 1.
Navy spokesmen, Chief Brandon Raile has confirmed that the unfortunate accident of the death of the sailor has taken place during a military training exercise. The name of the deceased has not yet been released since the family has not been notified yet.
At 9.08am, the Riverside County fire crews responded to the scene of the accident which was located in a rural area close to Richard Street and Highway 74. According to authorities, no one was injured.
News footages on televisions have shown an American flag covering the remains of the victim’s body, along with a parachute close by.
