Randy Orton to become the top WWE babyface after Extreme Rules

0

There is no denying the fact that Randy Orton performs at his best as a heel. He has established himself as a great heel in the past and every second that the WWE doesn’t use him is a waste. He’s the perfect cocky and confident wrestler. And there’s no one with as much aggression and ruthlessness as him currently in the WWE. He has the ability to deliver great promos as well and his merciless glares into the camera are filled with hatred.

But the WWE has again used him as a baby face and after the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, he will probably be the number one baby face in the WWE. He’s just so good at being bad that people would definitely wonder why the WWE has wasted his talent although Seth Rollins is making a name for himself as a terrific heel as well. This means Orton will have to find himself something else to do and that is where the WWE is heading with him, post this pay-per-view.

Rollins is currently in the same position that Orton was when he was in Evolution. He brazenly believes that no one’s better than him and is confident in his ability to pick up victory after victory. Both these wrestlers can carry a match very well too and even though Orton is the veteran among the two it isn’t easy to spot any differences between them.

It is only after Rollins proved that he can handle the pressure of being the champion that Orton has taken a step back and will now be asked to work on his image in front of the fans. The amount of praise he is receiving from the crowd now that he’s a baby face is just as much as the amount of hatred he received when he was a heel. The other problem is that the WWE’s top baby face, Daniel Bryan, has been struggling with injuries for the last few months. While John Cena, Roman Reigns or Dolph Ziggler can be contenders for this spot the fact remains that none of them will be as good as Orton. Perhaps Cena may be on the same level but people have had enough of him for now. So I guess fans are going to be cheering for Orton for the next few months.
